Shorewood Forest is a private, unincorporated, professionally managed community surrounding a 230-acre lake, featuring spacious homes, in a natural forest-like setting. 

Shorewood Forest offers attractive amenities which includes a beach, swimming pools which boasts a state-of-the art 25-meter 6-lane pool with a slide and diving board, as well as a kiddie pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, parks, nature preserves, recreational fields and a clubhouse which features a panoramic view overlooking Lake Louise. 

The POA has 74 rental boat docks and a boat-launching ramp. Use of the lake is for residents only. There is an active interest in fishing and boating. 

Shorewood Forest is conveniently located eight miles east of Interstate 65 on Highway US 30 near Valparaiso, Indiana. It is approximately 45 miles southeast of the Chicago metropolitan area and within easy driving distance of Interstates 80 and 94 and the South Shore Commuter train station; and just 15 minutes away from Indiana Dunes State Park and Lake Michigan.

Shorewood Forest is west of downtown Valparaiso, which features Central Park Plaza, award-winning restaurants, and shopping. Only minutes from Purdue North Central, and Indiana University North campus, as well as the acclaimed Valparaiso University.
